Game: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, DS, PSP, iPhone
Multiplayer: None
Genre: Action

Developed by: LucasArts
ESRB Rating: T for Fantasy Violence

Pros: Using the Force, Graphics look Pretty, Sound is Incredible.

Story Stolen from Wiki:
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed tells the story of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, code-named “Starkiller” but born Galen Marek, as he hunts down the remaining Jedi after Emperor Palpatine orders them killed. Set between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, the story explores the aftermath of the Great Jedi Purge as well as the rise of Darth Vader. The events of The Force Unleashed are “pivotal” in Darth Vader’s history and development as a character and offer illumination into other characters from A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

Rambling:
When will we get a Star Wars game that allows you to cut off limbs? The whole time playing TFU im slicing and dicing at a Storm Trooper and he just stands there… then falls over. I want a little more to happen from that trooper when I swing my Lightsaber at him. (And no, LEGO Star Wars doesn’t count…)

Gameplay:
Singleplayer
Throughout the game I found many glitches and small bugs like fighting a boss then him/her disappearing and having to restart from last save, running into a room and watching the people in front of you spawn, or some textures not load in.

Even with those bugs the game is still really good, using the Force, smacking guys around, grabbing AI then throwing them through glass, fighting bosses, it all is just so much fun every time you do it! (Alright I take that back, maybe not every boss is fun to fight.)

Also the lock on system and camera gets a little annoying at times when a lot of stuff is going on.

Multiplayer
No multiplayer. : (

Controls
Controlling the guy feels a little sluggish at times. You click A to jump to a platform and it doesn’t re-spawn as fast as you would like for it to.

For button layout, it’s good and easy to remember.

Graphics:
Top notch graphics. All of the cut scenes look nice. Every stage you see in TFU is different and looks really good.

Sound:
Just amazing. A Tie Fighter flying over your head, glass breaking, the swooshing of your Lightsaber, all sound incredible.

In the end:
If you’re a fan or not a fan of Star Wars, the game is just loads of fun. Yes there are a lot of bugs and glitches, but its just so much fun to use the Force and slash your Lightsaber around, and the stuff you get to see, it really makes you feel that your in the Star Wars universe.

4/5 – Rent It

Why it’s a rent and not a buy: Even though the game is so good it can be beat in 8 hours, and for me, not much replay after that.
