Three years after Earned in Blood, does Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway stack up to this generation? View Review

Game: Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway
Platforms: Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC
Multiplayer: 20 Players Online
Genre: First-Person Shooter
Published by: Ubisoft
Developed by: Gearbox Software
ESRB Rating: M for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language

Pros: Graphics are nice, Audio sounds amazing, Challenging AI, Fun singleplayer

Cons: Controls in the beginning, Multiplayer is horrible

Rambling:
I don’t understand why people are getting sick of WWII games. Yeah one or two of them come out a year, but two football games come out a year. Why are people not sick of them?

Gameplay:
Singleplayer
Even though the controls are little hard to learn at first the game is tons of fun all the way through. The AI is a real challenge even on casual, controlling your squads is easy to do, running, shooting, and ducking for cover all works well.

Multiplayer
The multiplayer was just horrible. Every game I played lagged. Your team didn’t work like a squad. Very bad gametypes. (Just skip the multiplayer.)

Controls
Controlling the guy, switching weapons, and other stuff like that is all smooth. But the button layout is a little weird and hard to remember at first.

Graphics:
Singleplayer
There are some late pop-ins and areas where you stop and say, “really, they couldn’t have made that look better.” But for the most part the graphics are beautiful.

Multiplayer
Same as gameplay, the graphics for multiplayer we’re horrible. The maps looked like they needed more passes through before they we’re done.

Sound:
Woa! Did it just flash back to 1944? The sounds just sound, amazing.

In the end:
If you want a really fun and challenging singleplayer with very beautiful graphics, then pick this game up. But if your looking for a new multiplayer game to start playing, just pass this one.

4/5 – Buy it for the Singleplayer
