The Bads: Co-op camera system, Little bit of lagging

Story:
The game takes place in the fictional world of Albion, five hundred years after Fable’s setting, in a colonial era resembling the time of highwaymen or the Enlightenment; guns are still primitive, and large castles and cities have developed in the place of towns. Unlike the original, the player may choose to be either male or female.

Random:
YAY, WAHOOO, YAY, HEY, WAHOOO, HEY, HEY, Chicken chaser, We’re going to need a ring to make this official, HEY, Smashing, WAHOOO, Boring, I don’t like what your wearing, HEY, Nice shoes, Boring, Sure ill follow you, YAY, Hunny not now I’ve got a headache…

Singleplayer:
If you were a fan of the first one, you know Peter Molyneux promised a lot but didn’t really deliver on everything. Well that’s not the case with this one.

There is so much here to do that you don’t even have to do, like fun little side-quests. You can become a real-estate junkie (like me) and just buy houses and stalls and make money. Go out on dates, get married, and have kids, or you could just do the main quest and never even do that other stuff.

One part that makes Fable 2 stand out from other Role-Playing Games is you can play how you want to. There are three ways to fight; swordmen, gunslinger or will user (mage.) You don’t have to play as just one, you can play as all three if you want, but that’s up to you. You can play as a guy or a gal, evil or good. So a pretty good amount of different ways to choose.

Also going through the game your’re going to have to make those choices that sometimes you might not always want to.

So for gameplay and fun factor, its all good and tons of fun, I spent many nights ever since I’ve had it staying up nice and late.

The game did have a lagging problem, you would just be running a round Bowerstone and out of know where it would start lagging, not real bad, but enough for you to tell. Also when in big fights it lags a bit. (Its probably just because the game is so awesome)

Multiplayer:
The only problem I have had with the multiplayer is the camera system, it is the most annoying camera you will ever deal with in a video game, you can’t control it at all, and it gets stuck behind walls and trees while fighting.

But other than that, it ran really good, and it was nice to have a friend helping you on the harder quests.

Controls
It felt like the character you controlled could have moved around a little smoother (running and swimming), but it’s not so bad that it makes you not want to play the game. Button layout is good, and works really well.

Graphics:
Singleplayer
Very, very beautiful graphics. Fable 2 has a very neat and bright art style. Every thing in the game looks amazing (A few times I stopped and just gazed at how neat some of the effects looked.)

There were a few graphical mess ups, but the only one worth talking about was while playing online the level took a little time to load, but that only happened once.

Sound:
Just as good as the graphics, it all “sounds” amazing. The voice acting in the game is really good; background noises and sound effects are all great sounding.

In the end:
Even with the small lag problem and the not so amazing controls, this is still an amazing game and you can’t pass it up!

5/5 – Buy it
