Game designer and writer Cory Barlog, of God of War 2 fame, has recently retweeted a twitter message from Avalanche Studios’ Christofer Sundberg back in July:
The delay of the film (mad Max) was “announced” yesterday. I wish that meant I got more time but alas…no.
Mad Max 4: Fury Road is the fourth entry in the beloved Australian made film series. There has been talks about a video game tie in which seemingly is still on track as Barlog is involved in production of the movie and possibly in charge of managing the incorporation of the video game using the Mad Max license.
Either way, color me intrigued and excited as I am a massive fan of the Mad Max series and if Avalanche is working on the title it is in good hands. The Swedish studio is responsible work the Just Cause franchise. The movie is due out in 2012 and so might be the game if the tweet is any indication.
