Have you ever wanted to play a lot of really awesome games for cheap? Totally, right? Well, it seems like this may be the most obvious thing ever if you are a gamer. Sure you can try and hunt down cheap used games or subscribe to a video game rental service, but the used games thing isn’t necessarily the best idea ever while the rental service isn’t so cheap after all when stretched over a year and you have to pay extra if you want to keep the games.

What is the two word answer to the question: ‘How can I play tons of great games and have them instantly available to me right away?’

PlayStation Plus

In case you haven’t heard about Sony’s paid subscription service before, let me give you the rundown. Sony offers gamers access to 65 games over the course of a year on both the PlayStation 3 as well as the PS Vita for £ 39.99 for 12 months of £ 11.99 for 3 months at the time.

Not only does PS Plus give you access to 14 games as part of the ‘Instant Game Collection’ as soon as you sign up but also provides tons of PS Plus Exclusive Discounts on games, DLC and more. PS Plus also offers 60 minute game trials, automatic updates, cloud saves, access to Betas and more.

Sounds good right?

In case you’re wondering what the hook is, there isn’t one. As long as you subscribe to the service you will keep access to the games instantly available as well as the new ones that are added each month. If you laps your subscription, games will become unavaliable but you do get them all back once you renew.

What kind of games you ask?

Right now the UK PlayStation Plus subscription will give you instant access to hits like the open world based Sleeping Dogs, the super fun arcade racer F1 Race Stars from Codemasters and the charming puzzler Quantum Conundrum. Those games alone are worth more than a full year’s subscription to PlayStation Plus if you buy them separately.

If you want to sign up for PS Plus, you can do that right here. Of course you can check out PlayStation Plus on Facebook and visit the PlayStation Store for more goodies or just snoop around.
