Every Friday we’ll post Weekend Gaming, which will be a summary of some of the new releases you should be paying attention to, along with games that we plan on playing this weekend.

New Releases

Dead Island Riptide (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) – It isn’t really a sequel, but more of an expansion to Dead Island. The latest game features the same heroes from the first game, with the addition of one new character. For those wanting some more of the awesome zombie hack-and-slash fighting, this game is for you.

Monaco (PC) – This game has had a lot of attention around it the past few  years, especially after winning the grand prize at the Independent Games Festival Awards in 2010. It is a game about performing heists and working your way through the story of four different criminals. It features innovative gameplay and very unique visuals that help you work your way through different levels.

Robot Unicorn Attack 2 (iOS) – The first Robot Unicorn Attack is one of the most popular mobile games out there, so it should be no surprise that many people were looking forward to the sequel. This take on the runner genre is humorous, has great visuals, and will frustrate you to no end.

Surgeon Simulator 2013 – Just released on Steam this week, Surgeon Simulator 2013 puts you in control of a surgeon, performing various operations on patients. It has an interesting control scheme which allows for funny situations to arise in the operating room. It also has some great physics that increases the ridiculousness of the game.

Andreas’ Weekend Gaming

Defiance – I am trying to finish up Defiance so we can get our review up. I will be watching the TV show pilot and see how it connects with the game. I love the idea of the universe and a shooter MMO theme but have to play more to make my opinion.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct – I have to finish this game as well since our review is pending but I like it so far, even though it may have some flaws that other reviewers cannot get past.
