Tiny Tina Assault on Dragon Keep Borderlands 2

During a recent conference call with Paul Hellquist, the Creative Director for Borderlands 2, and members of the press we got to find out a whole lot more about Borderlands 2’s fourth major DLC add on content called ‘Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep’.

Assault on Dragon Keep is not only the largest DLC ever made for the critically acclaimed 4 player coop shooter but also comes with tons of new enemy types; in fact there will be more new enemies in this content than all three previous DLCs combined. Tiny Tina is such a special character to the Borderlands 2 story that the team felt she should receive her own add on pack.

Some of the new enemies will include several skeletons, spiders that looks like people with spiders as upper bodies, orcs, knights, dwarfs and wizards – did we mention dragons? Pretty awesome.

In the Assault on Dragon Keep Tina is building a game like a traditional game master for a pen and paper RPG and will affect the story as it progresses since every inexperienced dungeon master, she too is figuring out things as she goes along and will therefore add new enemies or boss battles to change the game.

Hellquist was pretty stoked about this DLC as it will be something completely different for Borderlands 2 players. The DLC’s theme is much more fantasy looking than anything else in the game did before as the team at Gearbox either re-skinned nearly every character and art asset or created brand new stuff.

The main characters from the Borderlands franchise will be back like Ellie, Moxxi and also feature new dialogue for all of the Vault Hunters. Assault on Dragon Keep will also feature new items from vending machines and uses of Eridium.

Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep will cost 10 Dollars or 800 MSP as it releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on June 25th. The DLC is also part of the season pass.
