Summer has officially started and we are stoked to go to the beach, sit on the patio and barbecue – but a true summer wouldn’t be complete without the blockbuster monster movie. Warner Bros Pictures and Legendary Pictures are bringing us just that with ‘Pacific Rim’ which is the latest flick from acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.
Pacific Rim is a movie filled with massive action on an epic scale that will hit theaters on July 12th and of course will be available in 3D and IMAX 3D. Guillermo del Toro is known for creating monsters and creatures that impact the audience with movies like Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy.
Pacific Rift is a film about alien life coming to destroy and demolish cities, people and anything else in its way and humanity finding a way to fight back which feels much like Independence Day – with monsters. In Guillermo del Toro’s depiction of an alien threat humanity is pushed back to the brink of destruction and facing the apocalypse – which they are trying to repel. The resistance is dead set on defeating the threat to their planet which comes in the shape of a massive robot filled to the brim with weapons and power – controlled by two pilots.
Today we get a Sneak Peak of Pacific Rim brought to you by Qualcomm Snapdragon. I am personally looking forward to this movie as it brings with it three of my favorite things with an apocalyptic setting, giant monsters and of course a great cast.
