It is Friday, and there is no better way to spend the weekend than playing a new release, or continuing a game that you’ve been playing for a while. Either way, it is time for Weekend Gaming.

New Releases

The Last of Us (PS3) – The latest from Naughty Dog is one of the most anticipated titles of 2013. Players take control of Joel, who is trying to survive in America after a huge outbreak has changed people into monsters. The game features gorgeous graphics, a great story, and some of the most brutal combat we’ve seen in a game.

Fez – With the announcement of Fez II, I was quickly reminded that I have yet to finish the first one. That that I am (kind of) caught up with my new releases, it is time to go back and finish it.

Gunpoint – This indie puzzle game is absolutely brilliant. It is quick to finish, but towards the end of the game there are two paths you can choose from to finish the story. This gives me a great excuse to play through the game again, even though I don’t need one.

Grid 2 – Grid 2 is Codemasters’ latest racing title and follows 5 years after the original Grid sort of blew us away 5 years ago. While I am in love with the feel of Grid 2, the customization and some of the c community events, I am still wrestling with many aspects of the handling which is certainly on the arcady and drift heavy side.

Remember Me – Neo Paris. Memories are commodities. We are in a dark and ugly future in Remember Me from Capcom. We play as a young memory hunter who had her’s deleted and we are trying to figure out just what happened to her and the world. Remember Me is a combo heavy game with some exceptionally cool memory alteration sequences that we haven’t seen before.

The Last of Us – This game needs no big introduction. Ellie and Joel try to survive in an incredibly bleak post pandemic America. Naughty Dog’s latest game is a PS3 exclusive that will have your jaw drop, have you frightened and be in awe allo at the same time. I am dying (no pun intended) to get into this world and find out just what is going on!
