It is Friday, and there is no better way to spend the weekend than playing a new release, or continuing a game that you’ve been playing for a while. Either way, it is time for Weekend Gaming.

New Releases

Deadpool (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) – Everybody’s favorite anti-hero has written his own video game, and it could not embody Deadpool more than it does now. Featuring crude humor, extreme violence, and Deadpool being a jackass to everyone he encounters, Deadpool feels like an authentic Deadpool experience.

Company of Heroes 2 (PC) – The highly anticipated sequel to one of the most well received RTS games of all time is finally here, and it is receiving rave reviews. Focused around the Russian campaign of World War II, Company of Heroes 2 continues the award winning gameplay from the first game while bringing the game up to modern standards.

Deadpool – I’ve played the first few levels of the game, and I am enjoying it. While it isn’t going to win any game of the year awards, it is still kind of fun to playthrough, if you can get past some of the clunky controls. But it features that crude Deadpool humor, which can be hit or miss sometimes. When it hits though, it can bring a fit of laughter. If you have the means, I would recommend the PC version as it is only $40.

Magrunner: Dark Pulse – There will be many comparisons made to Portal, but that is okay because while it is a first-person puzzle game where you go from room to room, there is enough in Magrunner: Dark Pulse to stand out on its own. My review for the game will be on the site in the next few days.

Grid 2 – I continue to play GRID 2 as I am somewhat addicted to the online Multiplayer and Weekly Challenges but also am making progress in the World Series Racing career mode. GRID 2 may not be perfect but it is quite a great racer.

Hotline Miami – We have received our Hotline Miami PSN code and boy is it awesome. Last night the top down melee / shooter kept me up until 1 AM and boy, did I want to keep going. Hotline Miami is heavily inspired by the movie Drive and is truly something special.
