It is Friday, and there is no better way to spend the weekend than playing a new release, or continuing a game that you’ve been playing for a while. Either way, it is time for Weekend Gaming.

New Releases

Remember Me (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) – In the future memories can be recorded and viewed at any time. Remember Me puts you in control of Nilin who is part of a rebel group trying to take down an evil corporation that has taken over the city. The game features good hand-to-hand combat and parkour like gameplay.

Marvel Heroes (PC) – This Marvel MMO is very similar to games like Diablo II and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Ultimate Alliance was an incredible series, so if Marvel Heroes is anything close, we’re in for a treat. Oh, and it is free-to-play.

Gunpoint (PC) – The side scrolling stealth genre has produced some great games over the past year or so, and Gunpoint is a great addition to this genre. It is kind of difficult to describe the game in words, so just watch the trailer below.

Anomaly 2 – This tower offense game is pretty great, actually. I did not know what to expect, but I am enjoying. It is a unique take on the tower defense genre, which I don’t particularly get into, but I like being in control of the offensive part of the game.

The Night of the Rabbit – Point and click adventure games are making a resurgence, and The Night of the Rabbit is a great game to start with. It is filled with magic, mysticism, and has some incredible artwork.

Gunpoint – After seeing the launch trailer for this game, I knew that I would love it. The freedom the game gives you to solve each level looks to be enough to keep me hooked for hours.

Grid 2 – This weekend I will continue to burn massive amounts of rubber in Grid 2. I’m loving the game so far but need to play motte of its excellent online modes as well as career events. Codies is still a leading force in racing games.

Remember Me – Capcom’s Remember Me takes place in a world well in the future in the city of Paris. The future is dark and the latest commodity are memories. This action game has some beat gameplay hooks along with solid story telling and combat systems.
