We all know that the new generations of consoles is fast approaching. By all accounts we are pretty certain that the Xbox One and PS4 will make their retail debuts sometime before Black Friday which means prior to November 29th 2013.
You may ask, well what is there between now and November?
Do I need to care about video games, pre-order anything before November or should I save my sweet, sweet cash for the new consoles? Well, I can tell you this, you better hold on to you 360s and PS3s because we have 5 pretty rad reasons why you shouldn’t sell your ‘old’ hardware just yet.
The 5 titles below are going to be only available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 so even your shiny new Xbox One or PS4 won’t allow you to enjoy any of these games.
- Saints Row 4 (PS3/360) August 20th
- The Bureau: XCOM Declassified (PS3/360/PC) August 20th
- Lost Planet 3 (PS3/360) August 27th
- Grand Theft Auto V (PS3/360) September 17th
- BEYOND: Two Souls (PS3) October 8th
Saints Row 4 needs about as little introduction as any major franchise at this point. Deep Silver and Volition are setting out to not only bring you the best Saints Row game to date but also one of the most over the top open world games you will ever play.
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is an epic origin story of the XCOM unit as it goes all the way back to the cold war era. Players will experience a 3rd person tactical shooter that will not only ooze with style but also be familiar to XCOM veterans.
Lost Planet 3 is Capcom’s latest entry into the franchise and I have played it recently at a preview event. The game is smooth, filled with memorable characters and set on an incredibly beautiful ice planet all structured within a hub based open world.
Grand Theft Auto V – do I need to say anything here?
BEYOND: Two Souls is David Cage’s latest creation and takes the Heavy Rain concept to a different setting, set of characters and includes a Hollywood level cast with Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe.
There you have it folks, these 5 games are bound to be winners and that’s why we deem them the Top 5 games you need to play before Xbox One and PS4 – what did we forget?
