Are the PS4 and Xbox One coming too soon?

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have been incredibly sought after now that we are well into the PS3 and Xbox 360 generation which started all the way back in 2005. Many gamers say it is time to get new hardware but is that true?

Are the new consoles ready?

We know the two new shiny boxes are coming at some point in November, which is only a few short months away, but when they do, will there be enough content?

The launch line up for both consoles doesn’t look as packed as we’d like them to be. While the Xbox One is getting Forza 5, Dead Rising 2 and Killer Instinct as its major titles, the PS4 will launch with Drive Club, Killzone Shadow Fall and Knack – many of the multiplatform titles will be available on the Xbox 360 and PS4.

The games I am talking about here are FIFA 14, Madden 14, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed 4, Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4 only to name a few.

Also, NONE of the Xbox 360 or PS3 games you have will be playable on the new consoles due to lacking backwards compatibility which means Xbox Live Arcade and PSN games as well as discs.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 Line Up is very strong!

Along with the titles mentioned above which will make it to the current gen consoles, we also have games like Grand Theft Auto V or Gran Turismo 6 coming to current gen only not to mention this list here.

The Price is pretty darn high!

When looking at the investment of buying a new consoles we have to look at a few things here. Not only are the boxes $400 and $500 but the accessories and new controllers will have to be bought too – that’s 60 bucks a pop.

Are you going to buy an extra controller for a buddy to play Madden with or a brand new game for the same price.

There are a lot of open questions of being an early adopter and many strong reasons for the current generation of consoles to last a bit longer.

Will you buy a new console?
