It is Friday, and there is no better way to spend the weekend than playing a new release, or continuing a game that you’ve been playing for a while. Either way, it is time for Weekend Gaming.

New Releases

Total War: Rome II (PC) – The Total War series is one of the best real time strategy games on the market, and The Creative Assembly is trying to up the ante again with Total War: Rome II. Set in Rome, you control massive armies to fend off attackers in some spectacular battles thanks to the impressive combat engine.

Rayman Legends – (Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii U) – The latest in the Rayman series was released this week, and it has been receiving a lot of great scores from the media. Like the other Rayman games, you can expect a great artstyle that accompanies a great platforming game.

Diablo III (Xbox 360, PS3) – The popular hack-n-slash game comes to consoles, and looks like it made the transition well. For those that don’t have a PC that can run Diablo III, or lack a PC all together, now is your chance to play some Diablo.

GTA, GTA, GTA – We are so close to the Grand Theft Auto V launch, so I am replaying some of the older Grand Theft Auto games, including San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto IV. It will be interesting to compare GTA IV to GTA V and see how much improvement has gone into the game.

Insurgency – I wasn’t able to play this game as much as I wanted to this week, so I’ll testing it out some more. It reminds me a lot of Counter-Strike, which is never a bad thing.

FIFA 13 – I just started a new Be A Pro career, and I am doing well. Thanks to my play Doncaster Rovers are in second place in the League 1 standings, which is not bad at all.

GRID 2

This week GRID 2 received some free DLC in the form of the Demolition Derby content which allows us to drive around in smashed up cars and try to knock each other to high heavens, how could I resist? Also, I want to get some more Multiplayer races in.
