There is a War on Christmas (not really), and who else would save Santa and company than the Saints? Volition and Deep Silver has announced a few promotions for the holiday that involves Saints Row IV.
First off, the Volition developers have been naughty, according to this press release. Not really a surprise considering the type of games they produce. Anyway, fans can submit ideas to the website www.savechristmas.saintsrow.com to suggest how the developers can redeem themselves. I’m thinking a free copy of Saints Row IV for anyone who does not own it yet (cough, cough).
You can also participate in a huge Christmas carol sing-a-long. Users can submit videos of themselves and friends singing the Saints Row version of Jingle Bells. The best videos will be selected for a huge compilation video, and those participants selected will win a special prize.
Finally, a piece of DLC will be releasing on December 11th. Titled “How the Saints Save Christmas” DLC, it involves the Saints bringing the Christmas spirit to the simulation to save Santa. Sounds amazing. The DLC is free for those with the season pass, and will cost $6.99 for all others. Check out some screenshots of the DLC below.
