It is Friday, and there is no better way to spend the weekend than playing a new release, or continuing a game that you’ve been playing for a while. Either way, it is time for Weekend Gaming.

New Releases

Another slow week in the gaming world. But you expect content here. Here is the launch trailer for Octodad: Dadliest Catch, one of my most anticipated games of 2014.

Andreas’ Weekend Gaming

PC Gaming! – After having completed my build, which you can read about here, I have been diving into PC games like Broken Age, Outlast (Yes, I am trying it again) as well as rFactor 2 and Splinter Cell: Blacklist. I cannot believe just how easy it was to put together this gaming machine. Most of the parts are simply plug and play and I was up and running. The same goes for the drivers, very easy. I will have more impressions up later next week! Don’t forget DiRT 3, I will kick up a lot of dirt.

Brandon’s Weekend Gaming

Assassin’s Creed IV – I am still working my way through this game. I realized in a recent playthrough that I don’t really like the missions in the game. The mission structure for Assassin’s Creed III was awful, and this feels only slightly better. If Ubisoft could get rid of the trail and eavesdrop missions, the game would be way better. Sailing around the Caribbean, getting into ship battles, boarding ships, diving for treasure, exploring uncharted islands; that is what makes Assassin’s Creed IV so much fun.

FIFA Street – I was reminiscing about this game, and saw that it was on the PlayStation Network Store, so I picked it up quickly. I was a big fan of this game when it came out. I like the realistic take on street soccer, especially after seeing it live when I was in Europe quite some time ago. It is a fun game that I feel deserved more attention when it was released.
