It is Friday, and there is no better way to spend the weekend than playing a new release, or continuing a game that you’ve been playing for a while. Either way, it is time for Weekend Gaming.

It was once again a slow release week, as is normal for this time of year. If you haven’t checked out Andreas‘ or my top ten game of the year lists, check those out now. For your viewing pleasure, I have embedded my favorite video game trailer of 2013. It is a shame it is still a year away!

Damn, that trailer has over six million views! That is incredible for a new IP. Anyway, let’s get on with our weekend gaming!

Andreas’ Weekend Gaming

Steam Sale Games! – This weekend is all about relaxing and playing some more games I picked up via the Steam Sale over the holiday period. What games you ask? Well, I finished Gone Home which was excellent and purchased State of Decay, Outlast and most recently The Stanley Parable. I wish I had a more powerful PC but the laptop will run the smaller and less visually demanding games which is actually quite pleasant to be honest. I am in love with the extra charm and love that comes through in these games even if the quality may not be as high as some of the AAA games.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – I picked this game up when it went on sale on Steam, and I am loving it. I am really happy that Ubisoft released the higher end version of the game for the PC. After seeing ACIV on my friend’s PlayStation 4, I can safely say that the game looks and plays just as great on PC. The game reminds me a lot of Sid Meier’s Pirates! which I loved when it first came out. If ACIV is an updated version of Pirates!, I will be a very happy man.

Don’t Starve  – I’ve been wanting to play this game for a while, so I had to pick it up when it was really cheap. I love survival games, and this one seems to be one of the better survival games released.

Cook, Serve, Delicious – This is another game I’ve had my eye on for a while. After seeing the Quick Look on Giant Bomb, it looked like a simulation game I would love. I was reminded about the game this past week, and saw it was half price during the Steam sale. I can’t wait to cook up some food!
