Today Sony revealed that the Sony PlayStation Pulse Headsets will become compatible with the PS4 and 7.1 virtual surround sound. In addition to that the hardware maker also announced the Sony PlayStation Gold wireless headset which also sports 7.1 surround sound and 8 hours of battery life.
The headset will be compatible with the PS4, PS3, PS Vita (via adapter) as well as PC which is quite a nice option for $100 when it launches at the end of the month and is to feature customizable face-plates.
Sony’s newest headset along with the the Pulse Elite Edition, will be compatible with Sony’s free headset companion app that is to come to the PS Store this month. The app allows players download developer made sound modes for games like Assassin’s Creed IV to enhance the experience. Check out the video below.
