Today Activision announced that Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will be coming to current and Next-Gen consoles this June and will compliment Michael Bay’s new Transformers movie, Transformers: Age of Extinction, which will drop into theaters June 27th. Activision’s Rise of the Dark Spark aims to join the world of the movies and the Cybertron universe. Rise of the Dark Spark will feature more than 40 different playable characters across both universes.

This year’s Transformers game will aim to play similar to High Moon Studios’ Cybertron games but is not being developed by that studio. Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is in development by Edge of Reality, which is responsible for free to play shooter Loadout. Activision seems to be one of the only third parties to continue to support the Nintendo WiiU.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
