It is Friday, and there is no better way to spend the weekend than playing a new release, or continuing a game that you’ve been playing for a while. Either way, it is time for Weekend Gaming.

New Releases

The Wolf Among Us: Episode 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) – The second episode of the very popular game from Telltale was finally released after a four month wait. I played through the episode last night, and it is fantastic. While it was a long wait, it was definitely worth it.

Fable Anniversary (Xbox 360) –  I don’t normally get hyped over HD remakes of games, but this is one I would be interested in. I played a lot of Fable back when it was originally released. It would be nice to play the game with updated graphics. Apparently Lionhead ported the game over to the Unreal Engine, which is pretty neat, and must have taken a lot of work.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch – I loved the original tech demo type game that was released a few years ago, and I can’t wait to play through the full release of the game. I’m about an hour in and I am loving the game so far. It is definitely living up to the hype.

Democracy 3 – I am playing this political simulation game for review. I am excited to see how well a country does under my command. President Whetstone sounds nice!

Andreas’ Weekend Gaming

rFactor 2 – Ever since I started thinking about building a gaming PC, one of the major motivations behind it was sim racing and rFactor 2 with its great driving model and mod-ability was going to be on top of this list. I am currently racing on tracks like Lime Rock or Silverstone where I have been challenged by AI and myself alike as I am fighting for seconds on every lap. Of course all of this is being done with a high end racing wheel from Thrustmaster which I will be reviewing on the site shortly.

Killzone Shadow Fall – While I didn’t have time to play or even pick up the latest Killzone game at the PS4 launch last year, I am now ready and able as the game was on sale and I had some time to try it out. I have always enjoyed the Killzone games and never considered them a Halo killer but just a fun first person shooter.

The Wold Among Us: Smoke and Mirrors – This week Telltale Games have released the latest in the new series from the adventure game studio. The Wold Among Us Episode 2 is called Smoke and Mirrors and picks up right after the end of the first which was a massive cliffhanger. I am already an hour into the episode and like where things are going.
