Bandai Namco to to distribute all 2014 Codemasters games

Today publisher Bandai Namco, formerly known as Namco Bandai (not a joke), and developer Codemasters have announced that the publisher will be distributing all Codemasters developed titles that are releasing on 2014 in North America which goes for digital and physical channels. Bandai Namco previously distributed the European releases as well.

This means you can expect to see a Bandai Namco image next to the Codemasters logo on ever title including their ‘Pillar Brands’ says the publisher.

“Codemasters has a long history of developing excellent racing titles; we’re excited to welcome their products to our product line-up,” said Chris Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. “Motorsports resonates with audiences in every corner of the globe, we’re ready to wave the green flag and deliver this excitement to gamers in the Americas.”

Now the magical question is, what games do we expect to see in 2014? We can be pretty certain to see a new F1 game from Codies as the series has been an annual franchise since 2010. We may or may not see a new DiRT game since that series has not seen a new release since the DiRT Showdown offshoot. Of course GRID 2 released last year so who knows if a new one will make its way to stores in 2014.

My hope is we get all three! Fat chance?
