A phrase players of Respawn Entertainment’s first game will hear very often starting March 11th in North America and March 14th in Europe – Standby for Titanfall.

After former members of Infinity Ward, the creators of Call of Duty Modern Warfare, joined forces to form a new development studio called Respawn Entertainment, we knew something special would be created under the leadership there. After many months and years of waiting, guessing and wanting we finally have our answer.

Titanfall.

Titanfall is a First Person Shooter with a massive twist to switch up the formula. Players will control pilots which are essentially foot-soldiers that also have the ability to wall run, double jump via jet packs and ultimately pilot a Titan – right, maybe they are not your ‘common’ soldier after all.

Titans are of course massive mechs that add some serious punch to multiplayer matches and can be considered the main event of the game and each and every match you will play. Getting into a Titan is epic but can be short-lived, if you’re not careful. Even loosing your Titan however can be special, as pilots can eject a la jet fighter before the machine explodes.

The game has an immense sense of speed, pacing, verticality and variety because pilots are able to roam the battlefield, rack up points as they wish to work towards that beautifully sounding phrase: “Standby for Titanfall.” Once the friendly operator alerts you to the fact that your Titan is ready, it is time to push a button and send your personal mech plummeting to the ground and waiting for you to jump in. This is undoubtedly one of the special moments of this new and fresh console generation.

This post has been sponsored by Titanfall, but all thoughts are our own.

Titanfall was developed as a multiplayer only game but does touch upon its fleshed out backstory with campaign moments within multiplayer. The game makes no ifs or buts about it – it is here to engage you and your friends into battle on the online war grounds.
