With the FIFA Women’s World Cup just around the corner, EA Sports has released the first bit of information regarding FIFA 16, and it couldn’t be more relevant.

For the first time in the history of soccer games, players will have the option to play as one of 12 women’s national teams. The teams included in FIFA 16 are the following: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the United States.

EA Sports has stated that the work done to bring females into the game has improved the male side of the game as well; allowing more diverse body types, and realistic hair physics.

Check out the trailer below showing of the women’s teams in action. We here at OnPause are very excited about this announcement. FIFA 16 is set to release on September 25th.
