PSA: Dying Light: The Following will now cost $20 and is Bigger

Today Techland announced that it has some news regarding the The Following expansion pack for its open world zombie game Dying Light. The Following was scheduled to release at $15 but has since grown in size and scope and therefore Techland has increased the price to $20 to account for the added content.

Before you start screaming, it seems the content that was added has almost warrented a standalone released according to the developer but in order to keep the December launch date it decided against it.

Over the past weeks Dying Light: The Following has almost reached its final stage: main quests, side quests, new skills, and driving challenges are ready. We now are moving into the polishing period. Looking at it, it’s clear how big the expansion pack has grown – it could be a standalone title, but since it would mean a launch delay, we decided against it.

For Season Pass holders, which costs $30, the price of The Following DLC will not change and that is quite good news but the price of the season pass will change says Techland so act soon if you want the DLC at a cheaper price.

Starting December 8th 2015, the Season Pass will be sold at $29.99. We didn’t want this to come as a surprise to you, so we’re announcing it in advance. This price change will not affect players who already own the Season Pass.
