DiRT Rally’s Final Version hits Steam, coming to Consoles April 5

What a sleeper announcement to come across our desk on this crisp East Coast morning. Deep Silver has announced that the mega successful DiRT Rally has finally reached its final form and launched on Steam today and will also get a console release for the Xbox One and PS4 on April 5th, 2016.

Today’s Steam launch brings with it the “Winter Wonderland” update featuring a new rally, set in the snow and ice of the Varmland region of Sweden. These snow-filled stages with snow banks showcase Codemasters’ new soft edge technology, which simulates the density of snow. As a result, players can now lean into the snow banks when pushing for stage records.

The update also brings two new cars to the game, the Hyundai Rally and the Volkswagen Polo Rally, recent additions to the pinnacle of the sport.

The game will then also be shipped via physical DVD for the PC in case you live under a rock and don’t have a Steam account or are very unfortunate not to be able to purchase cheap and reliable internet access. Yes, I am trying to avoid a #DealWithIt situation here.
