In the gaming development areana it seems the winds have changed. There is many new technologies that have changed and revolutionized the world of gaming. Is this one of them?

It is called Unlimited Detail Technology. It is the brain child of Bruce Dell of Euclideon in Brisbane, Australia. The Firm has raised many eye brows over the technology that produces a level of detail that cannot be preformed in the current polygon generated environments. Many of the industry have claimed it cannot be done with the current hardware.

In a recent interview with John Gatt in a lengthy youtube video. Bruce Dell explains the technology hasn’t even harnessed the power of the GPU it is all Software based and runs on the power of the CPU alone. In a real-time demo controlled by a USB Xbox 360 controller Bruce explained the engine and flew around the atom generated world to show the level of detail that could be achieved on a Intel i7 chipset. Showing the detail from tops of trees down to the grains of dirt below. It seems this Project has a lot of potential in the gaming world. Is this next-gen technology going to hit the mainstream soon? Only time will tell as the technology is still under development. We will see as the Next Generation of gaming unfolds.
