Brütal Legend Finally Arrives for the PC

The Jack Black metal adventure game from Double Fine is getting a PC port. Released in 2009 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, Brütal Legend will finally make an appearance on Steam, which is interesting considering it was originally published by EA. Brütal Legend is available to pre-order right now on Steam for $14.99, and will go up to $19.99 when it is officially released in the near future. No official released date has been announced. We have now received additional information, confirming that the game will be released February 26th.

Those who pre-order the game will receive access to the PC multiplayer beta that is already underway, as well as two exclusive Team Fortess 2 items that are inspired by Brütal Legend. The press release sent by Double Fine also has some humorous quotes from president Tim Schafer.

“Adding a PC release to Brütal Legend’s list of conquests risks raising the world’s ambient Metal saturation to dangerously high levels,” said Double Fine President Tim Schafer, “which is why we’re conducting this closed beta test for preorders.”

“By purchasing this game, you are waiving your legal rights to recourse if the fire beast Ormagöden bathes the world in flame and ushers in the Age of Metal,” commented our lawyer.

“Shh,” added Mr. Schafer.

Check out the PC announcement trailer below, and get ready to rock your face off! As someone who never played Brütal Legend when it was first released, this is something I am very excited about.
