In Nintendo’s latest Direct video, Nintendo has called 2013 the ‘Year of Luigi.’ Luigi will feature in multiple games this year for the Wii U and 3Ds. Luigi will be the main focus of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, which will be released for the 3DS on March 24th. Luigi will get even more attention with Mario & Luigi: Dream Team for the 3DS, which is the next game in the Mario & Luigi role-playing series. New Super Luigi U will be out later this year as DLC for New Super Mario Bros. U for the Wii U. This will include a more Luigi in more of the staring role as the DLC offers 80 new stages for you to play through.
While most of the focus of the Nintendo Direct video was on Luigi, there are some other noteworthy games that Nintendo announced. Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is a 3DS port of the popular Wii game. Starting today, there is a Zelda Miiverse Community for fans of the game to discuss Zelda with others that share the same passion. Animal Crossing: New Leaf will launch for the 3DS on June 9th.
