Big SimCity update releases today

SimCity was released a month and a half ago, and the first major update for the game is being released this afternoon. After the initial complaints about the game surfaced (not pertaining to always-on DRM) EA and Maxis said that these issues would be addressed. The 2.0 update for SimCity is a has many changes with it, and will fix some of the problems early owners of the game have experienced.

The list of fixes is huge, which you can see here. Some of the features being worked on that stand out to us here at onPause include firetrucks not clumping together at one fire and going to multiple buildings at the same time, buses going to high volume stops first, high fluctuation in tourism is now fixed, and most importantly, they fixed the problem with cities not processing.

Some of these issues were the reason we reviewed SimCity at a low score, so it is nice to see Maxis addressing problems within the game. It also sounds like this will not be last large update for SimCity, so expect some more fixes, and maybe new features, in the future.
