Remember that awesome two disc set that will be coming out soon that has every major release of Metal Gear Solid on it? Well it has a release date now. Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will be on store shelves July 9.
The collection is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Metal Gear Solid. Included in the package is: Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition (which includes the original MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition, and two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels. The graphic novels have never been released in North America. In addition to all of that will be a 100 page art book that chronicles the marketing art from around the world, spanning the 25 year history of Metal Gear Solid.
You might be wondering, how much does it cost? The Legacy Collection will retail at the low price of $49.99. That is eight amazing games, on two discs, for $50.
