Duke Nukem was originally released in 1991 for MS-DOS, followed two years later by Duke Nukem II. Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project was a spin-off from the series that was released in 2002 for PC, with the game added to Xbox Live Arcade in 2010. The original two Duke Nukem games were developed by Apogee Software, and Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project was developed Sunstorm Interactive for the PC version, and 3D Realms for the Xbox Live Arcade version.
