The reboot of Rise of the Triad from Apogee Software and Interceptor Entertainment has been shown off for the past few months, but the release was unknown. Today Apogee Software has announced that Rise of the Triad will be released on Steam and GOG.com on July 31 for $14.99.
The pre-order for Rise of the Triad went live this morning. Those that pre-order on Steam will receive the Apogee Throwback Pack for free. The Throwback Pack includes Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold, Blake Stone: Planet Strike, Rise of the Triad, and Extreme Rise of the Triad.
Rise of the Triad is said to have over 20 levels of “explosive single-player action.” It features five unique characters that players can use to get through the game, with each character having a unique play style.
The original Rise of the Triad was released in 1994 by Apogee Software, and developed a cult following after its initial release.
