Steam Summer Sale: Day three recommendations

Posted by: 7/13/2013

Alright, time for day three of the Steam summer sale. There are some great deals today, so let’s get into it!

09_SideTomb_02Daily Deals

Tomb Raider (-75% $12.49) – This may be the best deal of the summer sale so far. For such a small price you are getting an amazing action-adventure game. While the story can be quite lackluster, the game makes up for it with brilliant platforming and some awesome tombs to raid. If you haven’t played the newest Lara Croft game yet, now is the time.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (-75% $4.99) – The Witcher 3 was the talk of E3 2013, so why not play through the predecessor. This RPG is from the fine developers at CD Projekt Red. To this day the developer continues to support The Witcher 2. As a matter of fact they recently updated the combat in the game. And yes, all of the updates are free.

Community Choice Spotlight

Hitman: Absolution (-75% $6.24) – While Absolution strayed away from the previous Hitman games and is more of a stealth-action game, it is still a decent game. While the game has a terrible story, it is still fun to play. Plus Square Enix had declared Absolution a failure, so you might as well throw $6 their way to make them happy. This deal only lasts for the next six hours, so get on it!

Under $10 Pick

Grand Theft Auto IV (-50% $9.99) Although the game is five years old, Grand Theft Auto IV is still a very enjoyable game. It was the first (and only until September 17) next-gen Grand Theft Auto game, and it made the jump amazingly. Liberty City is still the most believable open world setting that has been released this generation.

Under $5 Pick

Surgeon Simulator 2013 (-66% $3.39) – For the next 22 hours Surgeon Simulator 2013 is priced at $3.39. It is a fun game that you can hop into every now and then. Plus it will definitely make you laugh.
