Facebook announces Unity SDK

Posted by: 8/29/2013

The social media giant has announced the Facebook Unity SDK at the Unity developers conference in Vancouver called Unite. The SDK for Unity will make it easier for developers to bring in all of those social media aspects of the website to their games.

The idea behind the SDK is to bring more 3D rich games to the market with Facebook specific features enabled, like sharing achievements with friends, and seeing which friends are playing a game.

The SDK will be available to developers in a few weeks. You can read more about the announcement in this blog post.

Below you can see screenshots of some games using the new SDK, including Ubershot and Shadowgun.
