For those looking to expand the content in Total War: ROME II, you are in luck. Developers Creative Assembly has released a beta version of the Assembly Kit, which you can download through the Tools section on Steam.
The Assembly Kit will allow users to edit the Total War: ROME II database and other variants, such as textures, models, animations, and campaign-game start positions. There is also an exporter to allow you to use third-party software for things like animations and the ability to edit unit models.
Creative Assembly plans to expand the Assembly Kit over time with new tools and features.
