Hopefully that headline made you perk up. Epiphany Games has announced Majestic Nights: Season One.
What is Majestic Nights? It is an episodic RPG set in an alternate-reality of the 1980s where every conspiracy theory turns out to be true. You will play as Cardholder, an intelligence operative who may or may not have taken a role in the biggest conspiracy events in history. You’ll also take control of Cal, a private investigator that has many secrets in her past that she isn’t aware of.
The game is described as having fast, light mechanics where you will have to use wits, stealth, and a little force to investigate, explore, and acquire ever more clues for their big string-covered wall of conspiracies.
Season one of Majestic Nights will take place over six chapters. The first chapter, called ‘Chapter Zero – Sunset After Dark,’ will be released for free, with the remaining five chapters being paid for, with season passes available. The game is set for a late 2014 release for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android tablets.
