When Sierra Entertainment, now known as Sierra, announced its triumphant return to the video game industry, very few thought it would be in this manner.
Sierra is the indie publisher that will be under the Activision-Blizzard label. This is a good example of how the word “indie” now refers to a development team with very few people working on the project.
The first two games published under the new Sierra label will be a new King’s Quest game in 2015 (yay!) and a new Geometry Wars game that will launch this holiday season.
The Odd Gentlemen will be making the new King’s Quest. It is said to stay true to the original material, while also bringing in new fans of the series. Lucid Games will be handling development of Geometry Wars 3. Lucid Games features many of the developers that worked on the original Geometry Wars game.
