E3 2018: EA Play – Battlefield V

Posted by: 6/9/2018

EA opened their conference by showing off more Battlefield V. The preview indicated more tempo and excitement in the multiplayer, showing off new features such as the ability to dive through windows and making it possible to tactically reposition base defenses which were previously stationary. There was also a decent amount of footage showing off their destructive environments.

Following a reiteration that there would be absolutely no loot boxes or premium passes they revealed that Battlefield V will include a battle royale mode to a mixture of groans and light applause. They promise a royale experience blown up to the scale you would expect from the franchise. On October 11 Battlefield V will have an EA Access Trial for EA Access subscribers on Xbox One. They are expected to launch October 19 for the Standard Edition, or October 16 for those who purchase the Deluxe Edition. Here’s a look at their new multiplayer-focused trailer.
