E3 2018: Ghost Giant revealed for PlayStation VR

Posted by: 6/9/2018

Today as part of Sony’s “Countdown to E3 2018” announcements they revealed a new game coming to PlayStation VR, Ghost Giant. Developer Zoink Games and writer Sara Bergmark Elfgren have teamed up to create an interactive experience about friendship and trying to keep life together. Players will inhabit the role of the titular Giant and befriend Louis, an anthropomorphic creature who seems to be leading quite a lonely existence until you show up.

As the Giant you will be able to manipulate the world using your large, transparent hands. You can lift and move objects within the game, even removing some trees which may be impeding progress. The developers have used the term “dollhouse sandbox” to describe some aspects of this game, such as rotating and opening buildings to see what’s happening inside them. Throughout the game you will use your size and abilities to help Louis with a variety of puzzles and tasks as you continue building your friendship together. The vibrant 3D world has a twee, almost paper craft aesthetic that you will be reaching into and poking around at. No release date information as of yet, so for now check out the trailer.
