Similar to my colleagues on this website, I started playing games at a young age. Growing up I played a lot of games on the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, and Nintendo 64. In my teenage years, I owned a PlayStation 2, OG Xbox, and Xbox 360. Around 2010, I built my first gaming PC, and haven’t looked back since (although I did purchase a PlayStation 3 in 2013).

People always ask me what I enjoy playing, and the answer is “pretty much everything.” I’m always interested in checking out all sorts of games, even if it doesn’t hold my attention. As I’ve grown older and time for video games has become less than I would like, I am a bit more selective with what games I play now. When I get stuck into an open-world game, it’s what I play for quite some time.

In addition to playing video games, I’ve been writing about video games for around 10 years. I’ve always enjoyed writing, and spent time in my youth in a few journalism classes. Video games have always been my main passion, and writing about video games challenges me to look at games from different angles.

When I’m not playing video games, I enjoy watching sports. My two favorite sports are soccer and Formula 1 racing. I also enjoy basketball, hockey, and baseball. I’m also a big fan of cycling, and drinking craft beers. I’ll be the first to admit that I am a beer snob, so no need to point that out.

Favorite video game genres: Third-person adventure, first-person shooters, RPGs

Favorite video games: Freedom Fighters, The Witcher 3, Halo 2
