Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is hitting store shelves today, that is why EA’s announcement of a Need For Speed: Shift sequel, Shift 2: Unleashed, on the same day is a bit surprising to me.
Shift 2: Unleashed is due to hit in EA’s Q1 2011. The Shift franchise is developed by Slightly Mad Studios and consulted by professional race car drivers.
It becomes apparent that Shift 2 is dropping the NFS from the title but the trailer maintains the franchise label. Shift’s successor will also include a more advanced version of Hot Pursuit’s Autolog feature which was created by Criterion.
I personally really enjoyed Shift and am ready for more of the intense action it provided.
