Today Valve released details regarding the previously announced Steam functionality on the PS3 version of Portal 2. According to the statement Portal 2 on PS3 will provide cross platform play with PC and MAC as well as persistent cloud based storage of game saves and cross platform chat.’
That is not all folks. If you purchase Portal 2 on PS3 and link the Steam accounts you’ll unlock the Steam Play version on PC and MAC as well. Valve noted that players will also have access to their entire Steam friends list upon linking accounts from within the game.
Valve will be looking to expand the Steam platform on PS3 with future DLC.
