In a world where ‘bro-shooters’ like Modern Warfare or Gears of War head up the charts and mind share of millions of gamers, it will be nice to have a more serious take on the genre when 2K Games’ Spec Ops: Line releases later next year.
This will be the only time the word ‘nice’ will be associated with ‘The Line’.
The Line will take players through a dark journey around main protagonist Captain Walker who heads into a destroyed Dubai to find a group of military members.
He will not believe his eyes when he and his team arrive and discover the conditions of this formerly glitz and glamour filled city. Dubai has been destroyed by catastrophic sandstorms and disaster which leaves the population in shambles.
Captain Walker will have to make choices that deal with life or death moralities and pure horror, 2K has released a first trailer to showcase the mood and backdrop of the destroyed, formerly oil-rich city.
