For Dead Island fans anxiously awaiting the newest iteration in the series, there are some incentives to pre-order the game before it is released. There will be two DLC bonuses for folks who decide to pre-order the game.
The first DLC bonus is titled The Survivor Pack. It includes a BBQ Blade, which is a special blade that can be hooked up to fuel tanks to easily dispose of zombies. The pack also includes a XP/stats booster to level up quicker; a digital map that allows you to keep track of collectibles and quest progress; and a special shop that gives you discounts on weapons and items.
The second piece of DLC is called Fashion Victim. This will allow you to change the appearance of all the characters in the game.
These DLC packs will be available on Xbox Live and the PlayStation store when Riptide is released. The Survivor Pack will run for 400 Microsoft Points, or $4.99, and the Fashion Victim pack will run for 160 Microsoft Points, or $1.99. Dead Island Riptide is set to release on April 23 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
