GDC 2013 is happening right now in San Francisco. It is a time when game developers from around the world gather together to discuss upcoming projects, and the state the industry is currently in. Epic Games is in attendance, and showed off a very impressive tech demo of the Unreal Engine 4.
The Unreal engine is one of the most widely used game engines in the world, and the new tech they showed off at GDC will surely keep many developers on board. The tech demo is below for those that want to watch it. Epic vice president Mark Rein said on Twitter today that the demo was running in real time off of one GTX 680 graphics card. That is very impressive.
