Telltale Games is hard at work on another adventure game, so that means everyone should pay attention. Their newest game, called The Wolf Among Us, is set in the DC’s Fables universe. The protagonist, Bigby Wolf, or otherwise known as The Big Bad Wolf, has been exiled to New York City. Wolf will spend the majority of the game in the city trying to keep fairytale characters undeteced in the human world.

Bigby Wolf is a sheriff in a hidden community in New York City, and he has been tasked by the bureaucrat Snow White to keep the mythical creatures in New York City in order. These characters range from a chain-smoking member of “The Three Little Pigs” to Mr. Toad being a car thief. The game will examine how these fairy tale characters try to adapt to the real world, or as it is called in the Fables comics, the mundane. The events of The Wolf Among Us is set prior to any of the comics released under the Fables title.
Dan Connors, CEO and co-founder of Telltale, had this to say about The Wolf Among Us. “Developing ‘The Wolf Among Us’ based on the ‘FABLES’ universe has allowed our studio to build upon all of the hallmarks of what makes our episodic series so engaging for players.”
It sounds like the game has an excellent premise to it, and with Telltale behind the product, it could be another hit for the developer. The Wolf Among Us is set to release this summer for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
