There has been some controversy about Kickstarter projects that seem to not quite need the extra funding to make a game but go the crowd funding route anyway. This new Kickstarter project is different.
‘Road Redemption’ is a game that aims to follow up the beloved Road Rash classic and is DarkSeas Games attempt at bringing a spiritual successor to fruition. The Kickstar comes full with info about the game as well as some gameplay of this Unity based PC, MAC and Linux title. Possible 360, WiiU and PS4 ports could be added to the platform lineup since the team is filled with industry vets who worked on Sega, Sony, BioWare, 2K Sports and other franchises.
Road Redemption will come with a story mode, multiplayer and tons of weapons. DarkSeas Games is looking for 160K Dollars and even plans Oculus Rift support. The maybe coolest thing is that if this game funds successfully, the studio will release the source code to the game!
