Activision Blizzard has announced their Q1 earnings for 2013, and they are in a good position. Actually the company is better off than they were expecting. With Call of Duty, StarCraft II, World of Warcraft, and Diablo III, the large publisher has many titles in their portfolio to help their profits.

Some highlights from their Q1 report include:

  • World of Warcraft remains the largest subscription based MMORPG with more than 8.3 million subscribers.
  • In the first quarter of 2013, Activision Blizzard had two top-10 PC titles with StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm and Diablo III.
  • Digital revenue from Call of Duty in the quarter increased by 100%.
  • In terms of raw dollars, Call of Duty: Black Ops II was the #2 best selling game in Europe and North America for the first quarter.

Activision Blizzard did not indicate what we can expect from them in the coming months, other than Call of Duty: Ghosts, a new Skylanders game, and Diablo III for PlayStation 4.
