First trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins released

Posted by: 5/20/2013

Batman: Arkham Origins is one of the most anticipated games of 2013. There is something incredibly enjoyable about beating the crap out of criminals in Gotham City as you play as the Dark Knight. The first trailer for Arkham Origin was released this morning. Unfortunately it is a four minute CGI trailer of Batman and Deathstroke fighting, so we don’t get to see any gameplay. But the trailer does set up the story for what we can expect in Arkham Origins.

Also announced today was the voice actors behind Batman and the Joker for Arkham Origns. Batman will be voiced by Roger Craig Smith, and the Joker will be voiced by Troy Baker. Craig Smith is known for voicing Ezio Auditore from the Assassin’s Creed series, Chris Redfield from Resident Evil, and he is even the current voice of Sonic.

Baker will be recognized for voicing Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, Sgt. Matt Baker in the Brothers in Arms series, Kai Leng from Mass Effect 3, and Snow in Final Fantasy 13. Even though it is not Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill returning to reprise their roles, at least we have some seasoned voice actors who have a huge portfolio.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be available on October 25 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PC, and 3DS. Check out the first trailer below.
