CI Games, the team behind the Sniper: Ghost Warrior games, have announced Lords of the Fallen. It is being described as a “challenging fantasy action/role playing game.” The development team is being led by Tomasz Gop, who was a senior producer of The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. The game will be released on next-gen consoles and PC.

“Our team is building Lords of the Fallen specifically for players who enjoy taking on huge challenges, where the odds are stacked against them,” Gop said.  “From the very beginning, Lords of the Fallen will intrigue and satisfy players’ hunger to explore each corner of a brand new world, freely customize and build their own character and take down some of the most epic enemies ever seen.”

The game features an advanced combat system and robust class skill trees. The story follows Harkyn, a human who embarks on a quest to try and defeat an unstoppable supernatural force. This story is set in a fantasy world were the Gods have failed mankind. The player will have to make decisions along the way that impact both the world and the character.

Lords of the Fallen will be shown off live at E3 when it beings June 11. In addition to the announcement, CI Games has sent along an awesome piece of concept art. Expect a lot more information about Lords of the Fallen in the next month.
